Subject

[David Lan][BT] Bleutooth NV items for FTM

Description

Dear Qualcomm Team,
I am writing to ask about the Bleutooth NV items for FTM.
It seems MSM8960 series platform stored BT NV items (BD address, clock sharing, reference clock) to Android Persist file system.
Does it mean that MSM8960 ignored the modem NV items adhere?
0447:BD_ADDR
5875:REF_CLK
5876:CLK_SHARING

Yours Sincerely,
David Lan

Hi David,

I never try this way since it is not our default design.

But you could give it a try.

Richard

Hi Richard,
Thank you for your kind responding.
Do you happen to mean that we can read/write BT_ADDR from NV partition under the pre-conditions of vendor/qcom/proprietary/bt/hci_qcomm_init/Android.mk in out FTM image adhere?
BT_QSOC_GET_ITEMS_FROM_NV = 1
BT_QSOC_GET_ITEMS_FROM_PERSIST = 0

Thank you.
Sincerely,
David

Hi David,

Yes, you can find the related code and definition in vendor/qcom/proprietary/bt/hci_qcomm_init/Android.mk

line 8~10:

8#If you want to use the legacy way(by using NV) of set the BT address
9#You can set the value to 0
10BT_QSOC_GET_ITEMS_FROM_PERSIST = 1

Thank you,

Richard

Dear Qualcomm Team,
No.
I supposed there is not any log and attachment could help us to clarify this case.
Please inform us if you still need them.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
David Lan

We will check internally and response to you later. May I know if there is any additional log and attachment for this case?

Dear Qualcomm Team,
Citing the SR01019474, you had mentioned persist/bt_nv.bin is your default bd address stored file.
I am interesting in some ambiguous issues.

May I ask you a few questions about those issues?
1. Does below NV items mean nothing for WCN3660?
0447:BD_ADDR
5875:REF_CLK
5876:CLK_SHARING
2. Is BT_ADDR just related to persist/bt_nv.bin and nothing to do with modem NV items anymore?

Thank you for your help. I look forwar5d to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
David Lan
